The image to the right was obtained in our office and is an example of the pictures produced by this form of ultrasound. To find out more about the ultrasounds you will have during pregnancy, please print the handout “What to expect during your Ultrasound” which can be found on the Patient Documents page.
Bone Density Testing (DXA Scan)
The “gold standard” test for osteoporosis is done by dual energy x-ray absorptiometry (DXA). It is a fast and safe way to measure bone density at the spine and hip. Our practice offers bone density testing at the Computer Drive office. If you would like to learn more about this service, please speak with the physician you see at our practice.
